Taco Bell is an American fast-food restaurant that is based in Irvine, California, founded in 1962 by Glen Bell. It is considered as the number one Mexican fast-food chain in the United States, which has more than 5,000 locations. Taco Bell has a wide range of Mexican-style foods such as tacos, gorditas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Taco bell has more than 200 international locations in 20 countries. They serve more than two billion customers each year.

Taco Bell support America’s teens by launching The Taco Bell Foundation in 1992. Taco Bell believes that they will be the future leaders, franchises, suppliers and partners. Through this foundation, they will inspire every teenager to graduate from high school and to reach their full potential.

As part of their community service, Taco Bell launched Taco Bell Community Grants that serve the Orange County, California community.

The founder, Glen Bell, launched the Glen Bell Scholarship Program that provides educational opportunities to their eligible Taco Bell employees. Their team members and shift leader can apply for the scholarships.

Taco Bell partners with their parent brand YUM! Brands Inc., to provide meals for hungry families through programs, particularly the United Nations World Food Program.

History

Taco Bell was founded by Glen Bell, he opened first a hot dog stand when he was 23 years old and which he named the store Bell’s Drive-in located in San Bernardino, California in the year 1946. In 1950, Bell opened his Bell’s Hamburgers and Hot Dogs still in San Bernardino. Glen Bell started to watch the long lines of customers from a Mexican restaurant wherein customers are ordering for tacos. Bell started to re-invent the recipe and by 1952, he opened a new stand that sells tacos in which he named Taco Tia. Within the next few years after opening his first taco store, he operated more stores in California and he named some of the stores El Taco. Bell opened his first Taco Bell in 1962 in Downey, California and sold El Tacos and Taco Tia to his partners. In 1964, Kermit Becky becomes the first franchisee of Taco Bell. By the year 1967, the 100th restaurant opens, located in Anaheim. In 1970, Taco Bell went public having a total of 325 restaurants. In 1978, Glen sold Taco Bell comprising of more than 800 restaurants to PepsiCo Inc. In 1991, Taco Bell launched Express business to serve customers on the go. In 2002, Taco Bell Foundation donations hit the $10 million mark donations for all risk-teens. By 2010, Taco Bell launches their website where customers can get more information about the food, jobs and store locations.

Team Member
As a team member, you will be responsible in greeting the customers coming in the restaurant or drive-thru. You will take the customer’s order, handle the payment and thanking the customers. You will also prepare and pack customer’s order and maintain a clean and safe environment while working.

Restaurant General Manager
You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the entire restaurant while creating a strong team that will provide customers a great food and dining experience. You will be responsible in hiring and training team members and shift leaders and do the scheduling and deploying of team members accurately.

Administrative Assistant
As an administrative assistant, you will be supporting a group of people in a very fast paced environment. You will schedule appointments, manage and process invoices, prepare department presentations and other tasks assigned.

Quality Assurance Senior Analyst
You will be responsible in ensuring the highest level of food safety of all the products from regional food suppliers and distributors. You will perform audits and conduct follow up visits with suppliers to ensure the food safety measures are met.
