Jack in the Box is an American fast-food restaurant chain headquartered in San Diego, California. It serves largely in the West Coast. In this article, we will take a look at several jobs available at Jack in the Box and how to apply for the jobs.

Company History –
The first Jack in The Box restaurant was opened by Robert O. Peterson in Long Beach. It was a hamburger stand that had two-way intercom service and no carhops at all. Through the drive-through window, while one customer’s car was at the window, a second and even a third order could be taken. This efficient and quick service made it very popular. Peterson’s holding company, known as Foodmaker Inc, was sold by Peterson to Ralston Purina Company in the year 1968. Throughout the 70s and the 80s, Foodmaker led Jack in the Box to grow rapidly and become a competitor to its rival McDonalds. Foodmaker tried expanding Jack in the Box along the East Coast but had to halt the expansion entirely due to the expansion on the East Coast markets being cut back from the original estimates. As a result, Foodmaker stopped competing with McDonalds’ customer base of families with young children and targeted older and more affluent customers.
